Joan Puritz, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Joan Puritz, our Chief of Staff, grew up in Brooklyn and New Jersey and currently resides in Oneonta, New York. She received an undergraduate degree from SUNY Potsdam and received her DVM degree from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the Oneonta Veterinary Hospital team, Dr. Puritz practiced at Heritage Animal Hospital in Cooperstown, New York. Her special interests include exotics, wildlife and holistic medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Puritz enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, skiing, and traveling. She cares for two dogs, two cats, ducks, chickens, a horse and a Quaker parrot at home.
Dr. Puritz also is a wildlife rehabilitator, works with not for profit groups, and a local shelter performing spays and neuters.
Pamela Stafford, DVM
Dr. Pamela Stafford grew up in Worcester and currently resides in Otego, New York. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont and received her DVM degree from Cornell University. At home she has one dog and four cats.
In her spare time, Dr. Stafford enjoys baking, running, and reading.
